Who I am
My name is Dallas Gutauckis. I have a great sense of humor and I am very sarcastic. I enjoy playing the active role, and hate watching from the sidelines. I have been programming for more than half of my life and have enjoyed every minute of it. I love driving [recklessly] and going to movies. Mostly, I enjoy my family.
What I do
* I work full-time as a developer for United States' third-largest social networking website, myYearbook.com * I work as a web developer for GameSurge.net with current development time going into an entirely new code-base. * I am an active contributor to the framewerk project for PHP. * I am working on a pastebin-style project, devk.it * I also work on a super-secret project that no one will ever know I work on. *sigh*
XMPP Past and Present
History
I have been working with XMPP for almost a year now. My main focus with XMPP during this time has been the creation of an object-oriented XMPP over BOSH library for PHP5. The library, named Lightr, is in constant development.
Future
I hope to (some time in the near future) be able to get Lightr to a stable point, with multiple active developers. With the recent interest in the library, I think Lightr has more potential than ever.
I also hope to play a more active role in the future of XMPP and the XSF's push for standards and compliance.
