Preface
The current url http://www.jabber.org/software points to a very slick jabber related software listing.
Important is the completeness character. User:Stpeter currently maintains the sofware list on j.o. This list is comprehensive but not necessarily appealing. This information is stored in a database.

Goal
Improve the jabber software listing section on the j.o site and create an appealing and functional pleasent new subsite / subdirectory. The new site should have roughly the same functionality as for example freshmeat.

Timeframe
This small project should be released within the next weeks. Horizon is end of August.
