BIO
I've been working in the news industry for over ten years doing web development for most of them. I've been running an XMPP server at these news companies (they didn't know or understand) for some reason or another.
My XMPP development has mostly been on the client side and integrating clients into the web. A few of my hacks were featured in O'Reilly's PHP Hacks where I displayed sending RSS to IM through XMPP and sending a text message to a cell phone from IM.
Most recently, I hacked http://twitter.im a JSJAC based Web client for Twitter and am intent on evangelizing XMPP for web services of all sorts to the news industry in the coming years.
Particulary interested in PubSub spec and social media and how we integrate this stuff with web sites and services.
Can be reached at mterenzio@gmail.com for email and IM and if you need a non-gtalk JID use mterenzio@twitter.im
