Hopefully this gets seen since I want to see this get published as a JEP. Some questions: User:Sneakin

  • Why do we need a CID and ID attribute? Can they both be the same?
  • Can we factor out the image request use cases into a generic file storage/sharing JEP?

Perhaps we could shorten "xmpp:alice@example.com?sipub=image.jpg" to "?sipub=image.jpg" because the message has a 'base uri' of "xmpp:alice@example.com". This would help a tiny bit with bandwidth, and probably readability too. With Stream Compression (JEP-0138) the bandwidth change is probably not noticable. User:NormanR
